Announcement

At the time I'm writing this, it's been way over a year since any meaningful content was posted to this forum. Also, the last and final version of I Hate Mountains was released almost three years ago. Which is why I believe it is time to definitely pull the plug on this forum which is going to remain in a readonly format from now on.

A warm 'thank you' to everyone that contributed to this project in a way or another! If you really need to contact the team, feel free to shoot us an email, our contact information is right here : http://www.ihatemountains.com/contact-us/

How long should the audio fix take? Been running about an hour now and I'm thinking that is too long, but don't want to interrupt the process and screw something up. Any ballparks out there?

Re: snd_rebuildaudiocache

It should only take a few minutes but can easily make you think it's stuck when it reaches the end. If it doesn't want to end itself, just alt+tab to the desktop and kill the game. Silly process...

Re: snd_rebuildaudiocache

If you run the command from the main menu, it will freeze when the progress bar reaches the end. You can run it from within a single-player game, it should go off the screen then, but it will probably reappear when you hit escape to get into the menu. So you'll have to kill it anyway(except this time you can use the 'quit' command in the console).
Just watch your hard drive's LED, if the progress bar is full and HDD is idle, it's safe to kill the game.
